Is this just the factory fit sandwich plate type like that found on most 100Kw FWD?

no, this is a complete new casting that bolts to the block and takes the filter. it is not the hightly restrictive sandwitch plate type.

Defineatly interested, just wanting to know firstly weather or not this would suit the black top 20v, I think the block casting is the same or very similar to the AE92 100kw bottom end? (I could be wrong)
Could I have some pics when there avalible, Cash waiting + freight to SA, Adelaide.
thanks

will send pics to you both later in the week. busy getting 2 race cars going for meeting next week-end. basically, panic stations here!. I only have a silver top engine here so I cant check the later one, but the block should be the same in this area. terry

thanx for posting the pic michael. I did not mean to mis-lead you, it is of course a sandwitch type, but not the same as the standard ones I have here. I suspect this is the revised casting, simialr to what is used on latest landcruiser. it is option kit specified in the parts book for AE86 so i can reaonably assume the port sizes are correct . they are larger than the tiny ones on the other adaptors I have. Having said that, I use a much bigger full-flow unit with thermostat on my race car, but this should be fine for track-day use, sprints etc. .

Looks like the same casting as the ones I have here to me?? what is the diameter to the pressure release valve, I wouldnt think it would be any different but maybe thats where the benefit is?
