Guys,
im thinking about using some lovely mk 3 supra seats in my RA28 (yes i know about the crazy hooha of it all!)... and am wondering if anyone knows how similar the bolt pattern is to a mk 2 supra? Do mk3 seats fit a mk2?
If not, can someone please give me the distance apart the rails are, how far the front bolts are from the rear bolts, and whether the front bolts are horizontally entered and the rear vertically entered?
Thanks, much apprecitated!

Dude, those seats are HUGE and HEAVY. I helped a friend get the seats out of his Mk3 and I nearly got a hernia doing it! If they fit in an RA28 it's going to be a tight squeeze...
IMO Mk2 Supra seats are more comfortable and supportive anyway.

i think you head the nail on the head frank!!
yeah i know... they wiegh around 60kgs or something ridiculous....
if i can get some new mrk 2 seats that would be cool. HOwever, adapting the rails to suit RA28 is a bit of a job from the looks of it, and would be woortth it more for something a bit funkier!
*dreams of mrk 4 seats...*

Adapting Mk2 seats to an RA2x is actually quite easy, and heaps of people have done it. I've done a test-fit in my RA23 (I have some spare Mk2 seats) and it's basically a matter of drilling a couple of holes and they're in.

Japanese Motorsport have some nice S6 RX7 seats for sale. $450 for the pair and they look to be in good condition
They are a very similar style to the Mk4 Supra, and most likely a little lighter.

hit the nail again luke!!
well i have what appears to be some relatively tired looking mrk 2 supra seats.. but i really didnt like the way that the holes had to be drilled on the celica to mount them (rails are aboot 50mm wider than RA28 seats from memory)
If there is a simpler (and more LEGAL) way to put the mrk 2 seats in then i would love to hear it please! And if those mrk 3 seats are similar and at a decent price ill be getting one for myself

just thought i'd let everyone know - Mrk 3 supra seats would NOT fit without a fair bit of rail modification - and definitely look too wide!
back to the drawing board with the Mrk 2 seats!
