hey all i just bought a scanner. And i also heard that the police frequecys has now change to analogue to digital. I;m in adelaide, and has taken effect. which we cant hear them nemore, not even the media.
Which other parts in australia has it effected.
and another thing is, does ne1 know a site or a list of freqencys
for adelaide use?..
any frequecys beside the normal channel which is 1-40
cheers all

I dont think all the police are using digital over there Seems a little strange considering the company I work for supplys 90% of the 2-way radios But if they are using digital you will have no chance receiving them.
But if you do a google search for local radio clubs they will have all the frequencies listed!

I dunno about adelaide, but cops are still on normal analogue in and around sydney. Got a mate with radio gear comin out of his ears and he's just using normal UHF or whateever it is. Hunt around on the net and you'll find lotsa emergency services stuff. YOu want to look for GRN (Government Radio Network) stuff to, the firies, SES and some Police use that also, and there are repeaters you can tune into all over the joint.

You may also find its encrypted as well which would make a lot of sence in these changing world times when your enemy is potentially well funded. Which makes buying a scanner easy.
It would be difficult to get together enough computers to brute force anything moden without showing up on someones radar.
Cheers.
