Best place to buy a 1G? Mon, 10 February 2003 04:52 Go to next message
I keep hearing about people buying 1G's for ridiculously low prices, but after a little investigation it seems they're around the $2k mark for a 1G-GTE with gearbox and electronics. Is that what they cost these days, or am I looking in the wrong places? Any advice appreciated. Smile

Yeah. I think supply and demand has caught up with the 1G...

Damn. Sad The same thing happened to 1JZ's recently, so I guess it was just a matter of time before it happened to 1G's as well.

FWIW a friend just cooked the engine in his ST141 Corona, so we're looking at replacement engine options. Yes I know a 3S would be ideal (already have the S series engine mounts/sump/gearbox etc in the car), but custom manifolds etc will blow the budget. Sad
