Sorry Yogi

Dear Yogi,
Id like to make this letter posted on the forums as our whole little tiff has been very public. I'd like to with draw my comments and say sorry. They were out of line as vice president of this club and encouraging street racing is not on.
I have no problem with you personally, your not a bad bloke. I think that sometimes things are stretched and twisted and it comes across on the net maybe the wrong way.
Your easter weekend was well planned and did Toymods Proud. Sorry i couldn't make it or have had time to plan events for the last year or so. In my defence, i've been working 7 nights a week and at all hours, in a job that has things pop up and have to take priority.
Anyhow, sorry mate and in future i will keep all my posts concerning you and your car, purely factual and directed at the car and figures of the car.
DELETED LAST LINE due to Catastrophical Use of the English Language, forcing people to think my reply was not whole hearted
The board didn't ask me to say this, i do it on my own.
Luke

For the person who reported this post saying that my last line was sarcastic, Pull your head in.
Yogi called rod last night while we were in the board meeting, therefore he knew we would be discussing it. Noone asked me to say sorry, and i wanted that to be known.
People may think that me posting that message after the board meeting would indicate i was asked to say something, NO.
Jeez... every post i make is a taliban post, blows itself up and out of proportion.

Luke,
I made the complaint because despite reading through and thinking you were making a genuine apology, having got to the last line and seeing what you wrote led me to feel that you were not being sincere, perhaps I have misinterpreted what you have written or maybe others have seen it the same way. In any case to me it not only makes it look like the appology wasnt for real, but also makes it look like the rest of the board forced you to do so and that you have had a stab at them as well.
Maybe Im reading it completely wrong...I hope so because theres allready been too much crap flying round lately, maybe refrasing it may help or deleting the one line all together.
Just my 2 cents which as you have always maintained, is a right on the toymods forums.

Luke! there is no need to apologise, the worst thing about written text is that there is no personality in it! i could say some thing and you could take it completely the wrong way! and vise versa! this all blew up after i tried to get the drag racing ball rolling! next time i will take a different attack, sorry to upset anyone all i wanted was to have more of us at the track and believe me! nothing will make me happier to see someone take my time! (as long as iam there to see it!) awesome shit! no hard feelings and i dont hold gruges hope to see you all soon!

Ok... Yeah i do know chris.
Yogi, this is how i figure we go about this, i'm keen to get some drag action happening. My car will never be a drag car but it is ok in a straight line. Working on this together will make things better for Toymods. And that is where my interest is and will stay.
If you want Toymods to have a strong Drag team, lets build it. No point fighting about little things, I'd love to see a Toymods car run a 10 and i wouldn't care who it is.
ITs all about effort and i havn't had time to commit to the effort that is required these days. If we could structure some way of getting a drag team happening, we could run days at wakefield doing 1/8th miles, and stuff like that.
Toymods needs driving events, badly. We have insurance. All it takes now is effort. You put in effort at Easter, i put in a shit load of effort 3 years ago and with that and the MASSIVE amount of effort that has gone in from the likes of Rod and mos and everyone else, we can achieve these goals.

You know, in some ways it would be good if I could actually join you guys. Being in Perth, it seems a little foolish though. You all sound like a top bunch of blokes.
I'd have to agree with the written text thing as well though. I hate it when people start going mental at you because you "got all agro with them" when you said "hi"

Hey Luke, i'm chatting to Chris at the moment... He stated to get a real car and stop driving that barge ... What sort of driving events have u got in mind??? Something like 1/4 mile, 0-100, slalom and go - whoa... Names taken from Summernats but u get the idea... Maybe Toymods could make a cruise to the nats... I have made plans to go in 2004...

See Cruises section... i'm going too.
Maybe its time i organise a Track Day. Wakefield Park, for later in the year, i'll talk to simon and get the ok. I should be ready for track work around october. Its gonna be fun if nothing else. All i want to do is a better time around wakefield than i did in the sprinter.

What would the prices be for something like that??? Maybe u could get a group of around 20 - 25 cars and borrow the track for a day... Make it into a Toymods official event and offer prizes for the quickest times for laps and have a hillclimb at the back of the circuit... They ran a hillclimb at the Four and Rotary Nats and that was alright...

If you want track days you'll have to come down and rough-up the boys at the mountain when they fire it up. Let me know if you're interested let me know and I'll talk to someone and find out about it.
Anyways, in regards to prizes, wouldn't there be better alternatives? Recognition in the forums perhaps? like a cool "I'm better than all of you" official title? What about the corolla/sprinter/celica battle? the car pics at the top of the pages can depend on which section of the club performs the best, if the corolla's (girls) do the best then there's a selection of the clubs corollas which can be randomly be displayed...just a thought anyways
