Got beat by a barina

Well to be fair it was a SRI barina, they come with a 1.8 astra engine, i had three people in the car, it was only the driver in the barina, and he relly only pulled away from me well into second gear. Still i was dissapointed to say the least. But i dont think in all fairness that the gti could have done better considering the weight disadvantage.

ive been beaten by hsv's 300sx's 200sx's
etc...
its sometimes good to have an underpowered car..cos that way when you lose theres no shame in it..

The SRi Barina believe it or not is not a bad drive. Apart from the image and no bias from me, it does have a bit of poke considering it has a small body with a large-ish engine.
Mind you I blew the doors off a 7A Corolla and I hadn't even floor it all the way (only found out I could push more towards the end)....

I havent acutally ran a barina but I did have a little shock the other week. I had a little play with some sort of 3 door Charade. It was totally debadged and went pretty good.
I absolutely killed him out of the round-a-bouts, but he was a pretty crap driver, 'P' plater at that.
Although along the straights, I was expecting my 7AFE to walk away from him, especially at top end, but to my surprise I didn't.
He was with me all the way up to 4th gear. I looked them up and they only weigh just over 800 kg's, and according to weight watchers, my Corolla weighs 1240kg's!!! Thats almost as heavy as a Cressida !!!

Don't feel bad. I got beaten by a Barina driven by a girl in my RA60. It was instrumental in making up my mind to go ahead with the 1G-GTE conversion...
If anyone sees a girl in a Barina, tell her I want a rematch! heheh
