ma70 engine question Sat, 15 February 2003 08:50 Go to next message
hey guys. Looked at a 7m-gte supra today and now have some questions.
Head gastket has been replaced with a metal one and the block o-ringed.
I presume that is good and cures the blown head gasket problem.
The guy was running 8psi boost but said that he had run 12 before. Only problem was he said it would blow a bit of black smoke when the boost was at 12.
What could cause that and what else should i look for on the car and engine.
Thanx.

Brett.

Black smoke indicates a rich mixture.
