Andrew Linton's JZA70 Sun, 16 February 2003 08:21 Go to next message
Hey ppl.
I am currently looking at buying Andrew Linton's JZA70 supra but as it is in newcastle and i am in brisbane i have not seen it but in a few pix.
Was wondering if anyone who has seen it could give me some info on it's condition and their personal thoughts about the car.
Also, what differences beside the 1jz did the jza70 have over the ma70?
Thanx.
Brett.

Hi, I know Andy quite well, and have worked on the car a number of times.

It is quite simply the best sorted jza70 I have seen in Aus.

It gets the best of everything, regular maintenence and attention to detail.

It has the best of 1j mods and is brutally quick, and built tough enough to take some punishment.

Handles better than any car I have driven, (modded mx5 included).
The car has however done a few k's, quite a few more than mine, however the interior condition and the way it drives does not indicate this. It is rattle free and very tight on the road.

In short a great car, one of the fastest (relatively stock) 1j's around, fastidiously maintained and very neat.

any questions post up or just ask anyone who has seen it.

Matt

I think the body has done a few k's, however it is an immaculate example, paint is perfect, interior is way better than the k's would indicate and the motor is not the orriginal.

This car is the result of long term refinement, Andy works at an automotive importers so the car has had the best of anyparts that came hisway. Trim etc is perfect.

it is either a 90 or 91 model.

Yes, under all that plastic, 4STAIR is a JZA70...why he lumbered it with that bloody Ford gearbox I don't know though...
