does anyone know of a way to fix my axletramp issues, i had a 300000k old 18rc and a 4 speed in my RT104 and i could still get it to axletramp in 2nd, i have just thrown an 18RG in {not running yet} and i know it will hurt even worse now, i have put in new shox if i have the rear leafs reset harder and lower will that help, it'll have new shackle rubbers put in at the same time, would a rear stabilizer help

Rooted shocks are the most common cause of axle tramp. New shocks will probably be enough to fix the problem.

adding an extra leaf wouldnt go astray either i would think, esp if you are going to lower it. Although i have no idea of what the stock setup is like on your car

If you have ya rear leafs set lower and harder with maybe 1 xtra short leaf at the bottom, then get a set of tramp bars, they work wonders(but the coppers dont like them) i had the same problem in a mk11 cortina, with a very well worked motor. I had the leafs reset, and an extra short leaf in the bottom, helped a bit, then got a set of tramp bars. Take off as quick as ya like and cook it up for as long as ya want with no axle tramp.

Tramp bars are great for pure drag cars, but bad news for anything you want to actually drive. They do all sorts of nasty things to the vehicle's roll centre.
