Power to weight ratio

I know you can find this on Gran Turismo, and it is pretty useful..
I think the lower the p2w ratio, the better ? (correct if im wrong)
so what figures would you use ? power at the fly or wheels ??
So what would the calc. be for my car ?
approx (from the dyno graphs on the member pages)
160kw (flywhele)/ 1140kg = 0.140
or
130kw (wheels)/ 1140kg = 0.114
Or am i just completely wrong ??

Most of them work it out based on flywheel because that is how the manufacturers do it. And the less KILOGRAMS per KILOWATT the better.
1140kg/160kW = 7.125kg/kW
BTW? Do you actually reckon your car weighs 1140kg? That sounds pretty light to me.
Your car has a similar weight/power ratio as a Mazda MX-5 SP.

go to the value my car section of drive.com.au and pick out the car you are looking for. when its prcing comes up click on the model you are looking for. This will list all the features of the car. You can calculate power to weight (or weight to power) for any car listed on their database

Just in case you hadn't looked I'll tell ya
S15 200SX Spec S - 8.6kg/kW S14 200SX - should be around the same, was pretty much same weight with same power.
Check out that site...

les ... the RA65 weighs 1140 from the factory... you might wanna add a bit for the 6cyl twin turbo tank you put in the front (tho admittedly it's not *that* much heavier than the truck motor it came with)

the 1G is heavier and longer, i remember this when researching a possible conversion not much, but all that extra weight is in front of the front axle, so handling drops

Current shape WRX? They weigh 1390kg so they are 8.7kg/kW.
MY00 Impreza, last of the old ones, was 1270kg...with the same 160kW. 7.9kg/kW These are the ones that can give you trouble, they can to do 6, high 5 0-100kph
