G'day there Craig.
It's dylan here, so you have decided that the MKII Corona is the go? are they proving a little hard to find now?!
I sent u an email regarding this the other week, but my Email company kindly decided to close down all together. My new Email is now:
Dylanis@mail.com
So will the discs you have cross over ok on to this diff?
I got a new set of rims now, and the offset is perfect. the diff looks like it belongs in there, but i have slight problems up the front as the inner edge of the tyre JUST touches the strut. I think i may need to space them out about 2mm. I think i remebered you telling me you had spacers? If so, where can you get them? and whats the go, are they legal? what thicknesses are available?

I did reply to your email, must have been after you lost you ISP. You can get 6mm spacers from Pat's Tyres at Mitchell (only at Mitchel). I am not sure that rego would notice 6mm but in any event all you have to do is have one set screw to the hub flange to have them legal. The spacers that I have are for the back and they are 25mm and they bolt ro the original studs and have new studs on the spacers.
The 6mm spacers will surely fix your problem - they are about $20 ea.
If you have any other problems give me a ring on 62369110 at nite.

G'day Stew.
I'm Using one in my RA23, they fit quite well after the mounts are moved. They are an F series diff and have the potential for an LSD that bolts right in

ok cool,
How much do you look at for this? How strong are they? What are the lsd's like for them and cost?
I have a ra28 but i'm looking at using a volvo diff.... for simmilar reasons, but these are extremely strong... so i'm told (from reliable sources).
Cheers Stew

Dylo
managed to get hold of one at jap spares - cost more than the car you bought.
To the other query - they are in effect a hilux diff - the axles are some 8mm wider than the 23 ones. The advantahe is that the width is 60mm more than the standard diff which allows you ro bolt up normal offset wheels (30mm) combined with xt130 hubs on the front thing work out real well. I also thing that the Avanti disk brakes will bolt up with minimum modification if any - although I have to confirms this by doing it.
A diff place in the ACT has built a jig to allow the welding up if the suspension bits from the 23.

The pres. has a MK2 last model w/ the F-series 7.5, same as early supra, can convert it to LSD. He might part with it cheap, but the there is also a complete last model two dr i know of in Riverstone, sydney for $100! Rod also knows where this - he will need the fuel filler. The car has a hole in the block and a fair body- and rolls. Dave

Havent measured the MX23, the RN46 2wd hilux is 1415mm or 1425mm, cant remember, but definetely wider than 1400. mine fit in fine and looks heaps fatter!!! + 8in diff + Detroit locker + GZE6 = lots of easy sideways motion Dave
