Hey, I have to get rid of my red 1986 twin cam corolla as I am going to uni in bendigo in a week to do a course that takes up most of my spare time (outdoor ed) when I could otherwise work to support my car habit. I am also told that as I am living on campus, I won't be needing a car, ha-fools!
The car is pretty well stock, and was last roadworthied when I bought it in October (still have cert.)- so it shouldn't be far off! It may need 1 or 2 new tyres, a new headlight lense and tightening of the handbrake. The body, interior, and engine are all good (though the engine is just about due for a tune), the air conditioning was regassed a month ago and it has 196,000 kms on the clock. I've been told it may need something done to the Power steering rack soon. It's great to drive (good for showing up lancers)and I'm sorry to have to get rid of it (especially as I've barely gotten used to it!). have a towbar for it too. I would be willing to accept offers of $3500 or above. Car in Melbourne. Ph:0416 383 541, richarlwood@hotmail.com

Come on people! I'm hoping that the rolla will be gone by 1pm Sunday (23 feb) . If it's not it will probably sit around until both myself and a buyer are able to meet. The car is good as it is and wouldn't take much to make it mad. The price I'm asking is good, and I paid considerably more 4 months ago.
If you want a standard twin cam, this is it, if you want a car with a 20valve or gze, this would be a good start because you could get the car and a front cut and put it in without breaking the bank.
I will be getting a quote for the steering part, and a quote for labor, it shouldn't be much as I don't think it's a major thing so don't let that put you off as there is very little else to be done to the car at all. It has always run well without a problem for me. I forgot to mention earlier that the rolla is registered until june.
I will try to get photos up if I can get time and figure out how to use a computer properly.

It's the power steering rack, and a replacement one will cost $195 from the wreckers. I'm still waiting on the labor quote but will hopefully have it today, if anyone knows how much the labor will be please let me know. (photos not going so well, can't figure out the computer).
So come on, show some interest and give me an offer at least, worst I can do is say no.

OK, so labor will be around $120 (at $60 per hour) according to the mechanic, so that works out to be around $320 to have the problem fixed and apart from that the car is excellent and needs almost nothing.
Even with the cost of the steering rack it is a pretty cheap twin cam so come on and make an offer and we'll see what can be worked out.
Still trying with photos, I'll see what I can do, but if you're interested you'd probably want to come and see it anyway.

Hmmm I was really looking for one that doesnt need anything done to it. Thats all.
Its done a fair few kays..
Do you have any pics to upload?
What about paint work? Does it have any rust.
(I have been told that the car doesnt have any rust and then driven out to the other side of the city, to find that it has some major rust)
thanks
Shaun
