if anyone cares a 4wd hilux'00 front bar fits a 2wd '93 hilux it looks ok but u need your 1/4's pumped out or changed to 4wd it bolted straight up and has no blinkers in the bar so youll have to do a quick rewire of the front lights though, and if the hilux is dropped (when weighted down 5 pushbikes sitting on bump stops) the bar will just start to scrape when you go over speed humps.

Check out this guy's site. He must be the ultimate for DIYs
It's a Japanese site, so use

http://babelfish.altavista.com/

to translate it.

http://masao.pekori.to/

Has anyone seen where he pours urethane foam into the sills for extra rigidity? I can't wait to look into it!

Lots of pictures in a wacky Japanese style

Another good site for DIY is (look at his DIY stuff):

Thought this might interest some of the Sydney people:
Warren Toyota in Sapho (i think) Rd Warwick Farm is having a pre-stocktake clearance sale this weekend (actually, i think it might be starting today - friday - and finishing tomorrow).

The ad in the local paper said they're offering 20% off all parts in stock, in preparation for their end of year stocktake.

Might be worth having a look - could be the best time to pick up a oil filters, spark plugs etc etc for the next few services...

Anyone have any ideas on how much cash he should be asking for it?, we're in nz, so nz dollars would be good.

You will find some Willowbank raceway action here, including Rob's yellow ET10.28 sec Lancer that featured in a recent Fast-Fours mag.

here are those ¼ mile numbers running about 144fwKw as tested at Dyno-Day 4 days earlier. As you can see, I didn't want to stall it on my first ever run so I just dumped it and let it spin up. Some of you can remember from Dyno-Day 4 that the gears were not going in very well which slowed things down considerably. The car as it stands today has 185.9kw on the Dyno at APC QLD. (it scored 121.6kw at APC just before DynoDay 4, APC do their runs in 4th gear not 3rd)

track temp 30ºC (honestly, who'd live in Brisbane???)

Shit...........

I dunno wether i should sell my ra23 or not Sad

its got a strong 18rg with twin solex's and shit.lowered slightly (inch or so with Kings) got my stereo done (twin subs etc.) and interior done in velour.....

I kinda want to sell it coz i cant currenty afford to do what i want. Which is EFI it, I am still at school studying year 12, and i figure i COULD wait until next year and EFI it, or sell it and buy something with factory EFI (like a 1990 Nissan Pulsar Vector SSS/Langley)

Hmmmmm There is a bit of rust starting to emerge......near the back window seal, nothing major as the car was de-rusted (hehe) when it was painted in 1999

Hmmmm i dunno

Well I have had the misfortune of the air suspension in my V8 Soarer collapsing. Has any one else had this problem before?

I am hoping that it is only an electrical problem, for the hole car has just collapsed evenly (but undrivable).

Speaking to a place in Newcastle, they believe that it may have to do with the switch that is located on the middle console, so they are trying to source one of them to try it out.

WIll have to wait and see. Does anyone else have any ideas however as to what it may be?

Some people from this forum are f**ing cool.

I've just had a really good experience with one particular person from this forum (you know who you are) and can't thank them enough.

I approached them for help and they have been nothing but helpful, easy to please, easy to deal with and self sacrificing when they could have just ignored me. To that person - thank you, thank you, thank you.

I've gotta say thanks to the Toymods board (and club) for providing these forums to even us lowly non-members (which both of us happen to be).

Give me a month or so to sort out some things out and my $40 will be on the way... (go the direct deposit or credit card option) Laughing

Thanks again...

Went along to a small rally event down in Canberra on Saturday, which was a heap of fun as always. Nod It was a pretty action packed event, with a couple of spectacular roll-overs at the spectator points, and best of all, a FWD COROLLA taking out the event, and an AE86 Trueno taking third place! Very Happy

My photos from the day are online here.

Have got the video uploaded here. (approx 7 megs)

for all those out there that are chasing gaskets and seals for their 1G's and 1JZ's who get stopped short by toyota dealers asking for chassis codes, heres a link that will help.

http://www.tigersport.freeserve.co.uk/chassis.htm

just add GA70-####### or JZA70-####### infront of the number when talking to your "helpful" toyota dealer, they should be able to go from there.

also make sure u give them the chassis code that best reflects the year of your engine.

by the way i dont know if these are all legit, i just stumbled upon the website, but ive compared my front cut chassis code (was a 1987 GA70) with the table on the web site and the number range matches..

have a good one

Is there any way I can turn around the shift pattern so that it is not backwards in a 92 celica when I do my 4A-GZE swap or should I just keep the stock tranny??

Hey I heard something today about new laws that may be passed stating that if your car didn't come with factory Turbo or Supercharger it will be illegal.

Can anyone tell me if i heard wrong or whats going on?

Heading up to qld this weekend. (Gold Coast)

Been a official for so long at car events, decided to change my 86 to a rally car. So I need a road car. Theres one in qld for sale. Any Sprinter guys want to come and look with me?

Suggestions on sights, places to visit would be good too.

Also, where cheap accomodation is at, for a newly working poor ba$tard like me. Cry May just do the backpackers inn though. + more money to spend on car, beer etc.

only there from midday Sat to midday mon.
