Was just wondering if anyone that is going to the meeting on Monday would be passing near/by Rosebery and if I could get a lift. Reason - my car is in an unplanned non-drivable state Sad

hey all,

just a few ideas.

I reckon if ya wanna sell something, you have to have a minumum of 30-40 posts or something to stop ppl from other forums or just the average jo-blow that wants to sell something, cos theres alot of shit on there from newbies etc

also, you have to have your LOCATION field filled out so ppl know where you are from

and maybe start to delete like 10-15 of the last pages if its possible? cos really, do ya need to keep all that stuff or is too hard to delete? (sorry dunno how a forums works etc)

thanks

mod cruise threads to remove "nah, can't make it" posts? Wed, 13 April 2005 13:03 Go to previous messageGo to next message
after trawling thru old and newer cruise-related threads, i was wondering if they could be more aggresively modded to remove the posts from folks who dont intend to go?

it's always a bit depressing to have to always skip past the "wish i could" or "just broke the <engine part>" or "gotta work" posts to find out who's actually going.

as an occaisional event organiser, you end up with way-too-long threads and it probably turns off potential attendees if they get hungup on all the rejections.

it's not real high on my wish list, but i thought i might post the idea to see if anyone agrees with me? <ducks>

cheers,
Charles

Hi Guys

There has been a few people emailing the board to tell us that they cannot activate their account with the activation code they recieved, of late. This is a little confusing as we do not have anything where users have to enter an activation code.

I have since recieved a large number of phishing emails spoofing being from Toymods with an attachment that is being asked to be run or a web address to go to for activation.

Toymods board does not send out emails with executable code, do not run attachements you recieve from emails claiming to be from the board or the Toymods administrator. If you get an email with a link in it please view the source and see if the link you see in the email is the same as the one in the source, and more to the point goes to somewhere legitimate.

I know this is common knowledge for most people who use the net a lot, but I don't want anyone being caught out by this rubbish.
