ra23celica Forums Junkie Registered: November 2002	DIY Diagnostic Port ? Mon, 14 June 2004 23:47 G'day everyone. I am working on a 1G-GZE installation into my RA23. Toyota's EFI engines have that diagostic port in the engine bay and when you bridge the right terminals, you get the engine check light to flash any error codes. What I want to know is two things: 1. What happens at a Toyota Dealer when he plugs into this port ? Does it just list any error codes on a bigger screen with some fancy words? Is the device interactive in that test programs can be run from the Toyota 'computer' via this port to do some 'real-time' testing and fault finding ? And: 2. Is it worth buying a plug to fit this port and rigging up a 'idiot' light to determine any error codes at home, given that the RA23 is a little too young to have a check engine light ?
