Sat, 07 August 2004 05:46 Just wondering if anyone has had an ae82 engineered with a 4agze in it and the original gerabox. Spoke to an engineer and he said you either need confirmation that the g/box can handle extra power of supercharge/turbo or have a transmission specialist put something in writing (hard to get).. Would other engineers be more leniant do you think? I asked him about Turbo kits, and he said that this is the problem with them - and for this reason he hasn't really approved any bolt on kits.... I read in a motor mag that they are bringing turbo kits that are bolt ons for new corollas etc..What's the deal there (Toyota probably provide necessary doecumentation etc I guess)? The engineer seemed to say your best with the front cut. This guy was an engineer called Steve that someone recommended on these forums. Any thoughts?
