what causes backfiring when boosting? Sat, 15 June 2002 09:52 Go to previous message
My motor (Toyota 3TGTE) runs fine on up to 15psi, but with 17psi or so, it backfires out the exhaust at about 6000rpm.

I'm running haltech E6K, and its not lean according to the datalog.

what could it possibly be?? too rich? too much/little timing?
weak valve springs?

any advice appreciated.

Phil
