reading an old early issue of zoom and it had a sprinter with a 1GGTE in it, the article said : " another favourable finding was that the original 4ag five-speed transmission literally bolts straight to the back of the two-litre six". If this is true it means the 1G engines and the 4A engines have the same bellhousing to engine bolt pattern. Meaning a W5x gearbox from a 1G series engine would bolt up to a 4AG, solving the weak T-50 problems when boosted. anyone done this or can confirm/deny the articles claim.
