Okay ... here's the go ... there are two available - one goes, one stays:
On the left is a 1985 factory manual and on the right a 1986 factory manual + separate electrical wiring booklet.
Contrary to what you'd expect, the 1986 manual is actually 1/3 larger than the 1985 one - probably because it is more for the lay person with more detailed diagrams. The 1985 is perhaps more like a reference manual.
Both are the same manuals used by Toyota technicians to service your AE86 Sprinters. These are hard to find and are no longer in print.
Both are US / Canadian publications and are broken as follows:
(1) Introduction
(2) Maintenance
(3) Engine Mechanical
(4) Emission Control System
(5) EFI system (4AGE)
(6) Fuel system (4AC)
(7) Cooling system
( Lubrication system
(9) Ignition system
(10) Starting system
(11) Charging system
(12) Clutch
(13) Manual transmission
(14) Auto transmission
(15) Propeller shaft
(16) Front axle & suspension
(17) Rear axle & suspension
(18) Brake system
(19) Steering
(20) Body electrical system
(21) Body
(24) Air conditioning
(25) Service specifications
(26) Standard bolt torque specifications
(27) SST and SSM
(28) Auto transmission hydraulic circuit
(29) Electrical wiring diagrams
You could always wait for someone to scan the pages in however I doubt you'll find someone with the time to actually scan every page - the 1986 one is a huge mother!
Hah hah ... and if you printed out single sided, you'll then have both editions of the yellow pages.
Examples of pics from the manual are available from:
BTW ... apparently Toyota dealerships in Australia aren't too keen on ordering these books in even if you have the part numbers - I'm sure Widowmaker could give a testament to that.
You could always search Ebay for a copy of the AE86 Trueno & Levin Bible however that is a poor substitute for these manuals.
Am asking $160 + postage for the 1985 one and $220 + postage for the 1986 manual (booklet included). You can probably guess which one I'd rather be keeping. NO TIME WASTERS, NOT SUBJECT TO NEGOTIATION AND NO OTHER UNSAVORY LIFE-FORMS PLS!
If you're in Brisbane, you can pick it up to save on postage - just imagine you're purchasing another textbook from uni. Some idiot on Ebay recently paid $200 US just for one of these manuals.
It'd be the only one you'll ever have to purchase in your life for your Sprinter.
