MAJOR WIRING HASSLES.... Sun, 18 May 2003 03:33 Go to previous message
hey people,

well, after about a week of hardcore work on the twincam shell that i got, i thought i'd finally be able to get it started, but no such luck.

it has an alarm in it (which came with th car) which is causing all sorts of hassles for me. The car cranks over, but it wont start. there doesnt seem to be any spark going from the coil to the dizzy... and seeing as there are wires that have been hooked up from the igniter (which sits on top of the coil) to the alarm it may have something to do with the alarm, or maybe the igniter/coil is blown.

also, i suspect that the alarm is also hooked up to the fuel pump, because when the ignition is switched to "on" the pump should be pumping but isnt. ive tried running the pump off a direct 12v source, and it seems to pump just fine..

IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE WHO CAN HELP ME OUT??? any people in melbourne (i'm in mt. waverley...right near chaddy) that know a bit about autoelectrics that can swing by and give me a hand with ripping the bastard alarm out, or just maybe giving me some advice that can get the car to at least start??

PLEASE??? im desperate. Confused Confused Confused Confused
