2TGUE water pump and water temp sensor questions Sun, 15 June 2003 05:57 Go to previous message
hey guys i'm in need of advice.

First of all the water pump, i have a 2tgue but am in need of a water pump.
I have looked into buying a new water pump but have found that i can only get 2T water pumps which have an extra outlet which isnt needed on a 2tgue. Does anyone know where i could buy a new 2tgue water pump?
The reason i dont want to use a second hand one is because i've been told that the seals dry out when they arnt being used and then leak, is this true or have people found that a second hand pump will do?
I have also been told that i can use a 2t pump but need to cut off and block the extra pipe, is this a good suggestion?

I also need some advice with my water temp sensor. the sensor on my thermostat housing is broken a a new sensor is needed. i have found one off a 5ME which i have been told can be used. But i was wondering if they will differ in any way, such as resistance? the bolts which have the sensors in side them have the same number '89422-30020' on them but the 2tgue one also has '4 S' written on it but the 5ME one has '1 B'. Is this something to do with the sensors or with the bolts?

Any help or ideas would be very helpful!

Thanks guys
