Supercharging 3VZE (V6 4Runner)
Tue, 17 June 2003 03:21
I'm looking into installing a SC14 Supercharger off a 1GGZE onto my 94 3.0L V6 (3VZE)4Runner. I plan to only run it at about 6psi. I just have a few questions that'd I like to know, if anyone can help please???
1. Does the superchargers electric clutch and original setup have to be used when installed on a different motor. I was hoping that I could just have the blower running all the time so the clutch and air bypass valve etc.. would not be needed? So then all I need to do is plumb the intake and outtake of the blower?
2. Should I run an inter-cooler it to avoid detonation and having to retard the timing? (thinking RX7 13B Intercooler)
3. Will anything with the fuel delivery system have to be modified or will the Air Flow Meter adjust everything to suit?
I have already added to the motor a Snorkerl, K&N, Extractors and a high flow exhuast system and removed the CAT, if that helps/changes any of the answers.
