Fuel problem Wed, 18 June 2003 00:22 Go to previous message
I have an AE92 with a 4a-fc in it. I recently replaced the head gasket (head like a banana and gasket blown in 2 places). I put it all back together and now it wont start. I know the timing is right because i got it started on aerostart. I pulled the fuel line between the fuel pump and carby off, but there was no fuel pumping so i replaced the pump. Still nothing pumping out and no air being sucked in through fuel return (new pump rooted?). I pulled the rocker cover off and the arm seems to be hitting the lobe on the can correctly so im stumped. When the car first broke down on me, I had just left my mates farm so could there be a blockage between the tank and the pump? Has anybody else ever had this problem? I miss my car. Help will be much appreciated. Cheers.
