I'm putting a 4AGZE into a Sprinter and would like to get it engineered and (semi)legit. But I just found out that it can only be engineered if it is running the stock computer (NB I am in Vic). Unforch I don't have one (I have a loom cut at firewall) and have a V4 Wolf instead. So my options seem to be:
- Find/borrow and fit a stock computer to get it running, even if somewhat dodgy, then fit the Wolf once engineered.
- Gut wolf and put it in a factory looking computer box and rely on stupid engineer
- Put dummy factory computer in footwell and hide the Wolf, which is actually running the car, elsewhere.
- get the Wolf working then splice off enough wires so I can plug in a factory computer to get it through engineering.
- Dump the whole engine and fit a 3SGTE with stock computer instead.
Anyone got any idea of the easiest path? Please put your 2 cents in.
