I've been chasing a rumble in the driveline of my MA61 for a while. Just had the rear up on stands and ran it - still noisy. Disconnected the half shafts & ran it again - still noisy. So it is either the diff or the centre bearing - right? I changed the diff last year & there was no change in the noise so I assume it is the centre support bearing for the propeller shaft.
Toyota just quoted me $315 for it!!!!! (more than I paid for a whole s/hand diff).
Are there any aftermarket alternatives for the centre support bearing?
