4ac water in oil woes

I have been playing with an old 4ac over the past week, and i have stumbled across a small issue after replacing the head gasket.
# oil is watery, and gets that emulsified white paste everywhere
# water is not consumed, there appears to be no water used up, nor are there bubbles coming out the radiator
# temp guage doesnt go up much at all, nor does water get very hot
# head gets RATHER warm
# water appears to flow through the engine (can see small chunks of crap flowing into radiator)
# engine runs ok!
When i removed the head from the motor, no visible sign of BHG save for a swolen watery spot around the oil return.
Checked both the head and block for warpage - each was PERFECT with warpage less than 0.02mm, and 0.05mm is the tolerance.
I did everything as i knew to be right - cleaned the crap out of the head & block, drained all oil and water, degreased cam/rockers area, tightened head bolts in stages according to specifications in the right order...... EVERYTHING.
WTF is going on!?!?!
Do i have a cracked head or block? Is the head gasket fubar again? IS there just some leftover water in the oil and the motor is otherwise fine?
