Dnation Regular Location: Melbourne Registered: June 2002	CLUTCH ISSUES Sun, 03 August 2003 11:28 Hi Guys, I need your knowledgable expertise. I have issues with my stupid clutch in my MR2. Its a new HD Exedy import clutch made specifically for a 1996 3SGTE MR2. My problem is when I turn the engine on, I cannot put it in gear but I can change gears when the engine is off though. If I select a gear, then start/crank the car, it will go. However when driving I cannot change gears properly. When travelling at about 50km/h in 2nd, sometimes I can put it in 3rd or 4th, but its REALLY hard and i have to force it. Putting it back into 2nd or 1st is impossible. I have bled the hell out of the thing. I have also changed the whole secondary slave unit from the 3SGTE gearbox to the 3SGE clutch unit and its still doing the same thing. What can be my problem? Is it the slave? the Master? Not bled enough? Wrong installation of clutch? Fork? I am lost now and its getting on my nerves coz Im hanging to unleash my new found power.
