 2T-GEU Oil & Other Questions

Okay,
Well I've driven abit over 5000Km's since I bought my car, so I figure its time for an oil change. Its got some BP Oil in it at the moment, tried to buy the same Oil at BP servo's, but cant find it anywhere, so I figured I'd go with Penrite or something. What engine oil can people recommend for all year round use for a 2T-GEU?
Another question is how many litres of Oil does a 2T-GEU take to fill up completely?
On another note, after driving the car abit harder than normal( 4500-5000 RPM) or on a really really hot day(but it happens at night sometimes too), the idle can be quite strange sometimes. The car usually idles at 1500 RPM cold and 1000RPM normal. But sometimes after driving it hard for abit the normal idleing rev's will drop down to about 200 and over the last month its stalled on me 3 times. Just curious as to any causes on this?
I was doing a search around on these forums and read that this cars engine did have some oil pressure issues(not sure if they were ever resolved), could that cause this problem? Its intermittant so its hard to tell(70% normal 30% f*@king annoying). The Oil pressure guage in the car is on the minimun normal level, but the dipstick in the engine is 3/4 full, but sometimes the Oil pressure guage reads at half, so I was thinking maybe a dodgy guage and just read off the dip stick. I'm not sure if the Oil pressure guage is proportional to the Dip stick level(I'd assume its 1-1, but I dont know). Anyway any suggestions would be appreciated.
