heys uys - i came across this when looking for info on my group A intercooler adaptor ..
Not only does this site say i have the 55mm throttle body - but it could be telling me i have a group A ( or RC in JDM spec )gearbox , though not homologation model ( which got the 3.9 jobby )..
Im REALLY confused here:
from the page :
ST185
E150F Normal early ST185 gearbox. Identified by the cast steel clutch fork.
E151F RC gearbox. Improved dual cone synchros. Fitted with 3.933 final drive in all homologation models. This gearbox may have also been fitted to other post 91 facelift ST185's. Not sure on their specification though.
E152F I believe that this is the gearbox from the Japan only GT-Four Rally model. This has different ratios.
My gearbox code is an e151f !
Does this mean i already have the upgraded gearbox in my gt4 - as i have diff and turbo specs ?
I thought the stocko Gt4 only had single syncros in the gears not duelies , and its also longer shod in the gearing than the RC's and 205's. either way ill still get my 205 gearbox - id just like to clarify this some more for those out there- handy for toyota not to stamp any details on the boxes !
Did toyota slip in extra goodies into the oz ones we dont know about ?
