Help! Engine troubles

Hey guys I am having some problems with my Corolla, it has a 5K in it with a sidedraught weber
I have changed the points and the condenser in it just recently and it seems that it runs out of spark.
When I am driving around it seems to just die by its own accord no matter how much you pump the throttle.
Sometimes as this happens you can clutch it and keep it going.....
We have tried adjusting the points after a while it seems to work
What could it be?
