Fri, 05 March 2004 23:29 Hey All, My 5ME has blown 2 oil rings and don't know if it is worth fixing it? I don't even know how much it would cost after having the heads reconditioned. Does anyone know how much would it be do do a general overhall of the whole engine with rings, pistons, gaskets and bearings. My alternator has died so that needs to be replaced as well. Next questions is, "Is it worth finding/getting a 7MGE?", how much labour is it invloved to get it converted? does anyone know who can do it? etc... I don't know.
