which wire to filter going to radio? Ign+ or Batt+ Sun, 21 March 2004 06:56 Go to previous message
hi folks,

i'm cleaning up the wiring in the RA40 and am wondering which power supply to the radio should be filtered.
the Ign+ supply, or
the Batt+

i'm assuming that the Batt+ is the one to filter as the unit uses the Ign+ to decide whether to run/play shit.

It's a Kenwood radio/cass not a factory unit. I am hooking into to the 6 pin plug that originally went to the radio & cassette.

I already have it in place and am sorting out another (probably related) problem where turning on the park lights turns the radio off ;(

tia, charles
