right.
trial fitted the radiator and shroud properly today, after some power-tool assisted mods to the shroud.
there's now 1cm clearance between the fans and the water pump (not ideal, but no choice)
the problem is the radiator doesn't quite sit low enough. the 2 bolts that hold the rad in place are about 5mm too high - which is caused by the radiator being too high. the 2 supports seem to be the problem.
Is there any easy way of lowering these supports?
choices at the moment are:
1) bash them lower with a hammer (but I dont think this will be terribly effective)
2) grind a bit of them away (again, looking how they're designed, I dont think this will be terribly effective)
3) remove the supports, re-drill the holes for the supports 5mm higher, thus dropping them. this is the best option I can think of, but also rather time consuming (and I can tell is will be annoying)
can anyone offer any better suggestions, or something I may have overlooked that is causing the radiator to sit too high?
btw - rad is stock top and bottom tanks, triple cored
