maybe this has been brought up before, but i hope i can ask again...
a friend of mine has a 308 VL calais and he is in the process of getting a manual gearbox kit. he is able to get hold of the kit minus the box itself, but when it comes to searching for the box, it seems wreckers can't help him out...
the lack of knowledge of wreckers is amazing... "what's a W55, we only have alloy or steel case" is there a sure way to identify these W series gearboxes apart? and could someone also tell me the difference between supra boxes in the W series??? things like models that they came in, power handling, availability and costs??? please, this is getting kinda urgent, i hate not knowing exactly what to tell him when he asks me about it...
