Phase 2 is getting the suspension, steering and brakes checked and fixed.
The nasty clunk and erratic steering forced me to get this done before getting the gearbox done.
Well, good news. The springs are fine and so are the shocks. Brakes and brake system is fine. The bushes and grommets are all okay too. Some of the front suspension bolts were loose and have been tightened up. However, the pitman arm is very badly worn.
I got a spare pitman arm - but its a TA22 part and I'm trying to verify if its the same as the RA25. I hope so.
Gonna throw on a rear sway bar and she's all done for Phase 2. I think I got out of this one cheaply and am much impressed by this. Means more money for the upcoming Phases.
