I have MX83 Grande with 97000 ks bought the car from an 80-year-old (one owner) in immaculate condition. I replaced the exhaust with a 2.5in system hi flow cat and two straight thru mufflers a bit loud when at full throttle but acceptable, K&N air filter then tweaked the air flow meter a little to add a bit more fuel. The mods did make a big difference more than I expected the torque increase was a big supirise fuel use about 60/65 ltrs 490/530 ks. Then 6000 ks later Head Gasket gone also valve stem seals hardened. (Smoke puff at startup) Now repaired, engine looked great inside no wear visible cams etc. now Im sure I can hear a bearing noise big end/main this can not be possible the bottom ends are bullet proof (allegedly) or has this been known before at such low Ks or am I hearing things ?? If someone has put a 1JZGTE into one of these could you please give me some advise or a link maybe, Cheers
