ra23mad Forums Junkie Location: Adelaide Registered: September 2003	Cruise suggestions Tue, 21 September 2004 12:20 Hi all, I've been watching and reading a few of the posts about cruises... some of the cruises have had a bit of negative feedback - so I figure - rather than just all bitch... why not start a thread so we can suggest how we want cruises to be run. From the last one some of the suggestions were: Speed ratings for cruises Speed groupings for cruises Stage warnings / cautions Alternate routes for speed / cruise with meet up points all of the above seem like good ideas to me, especially the 'speed rating' sometimes I'm just not that keen on going hell for leather...... some of my personal suggestions: If you're going to do a 'go flat sticks psycho through the hills cruise' don't go for big numbers keep them small and to a group of drivers who express an interest in that sort of thing. If you're gonna go for a big long cruise to show off our loved cars...big as possible hundreds and thousands of toyo's in lines. If you do 'speed groupings' then make sure at least one person in each group knows the stages well enough to guide the rest...imagine a poor new person on a cruise with us first time - in an area they don't really know...and they get left behind / lost...not a good impression. *anyway that's my 2c (worth far less than that)* Doing things like the above can make our cruises more of a friendly atmosphere.... some of the time the attitude 'go hard or go home' isn't always welcome or appreciated. So rather than bitch and whinge I'd like to do something constructive to help the club where I can. Get your suggestions down *then we can bombard Stef & Graham* And get some of the best cars / people cruising together how we all want to.
