bog in a tube.....seam sealant?? Sat, 09 October 2004 09:37 Go to previous message
hi,
have been sandin and sandblasting my car lately back to bare metal and i have noticed many of the seams/joins are sealed by a gluey silicon sorta stuff (silicon cant be painted). i wanna put some new sealant on the seams, but apparently there is a paintable silicon stuff called 'no more gaps' or sumthin. i dont want to use it bcos it promotes rust...waterbased. is there sealant that is like bog that wont promote rust??? bog is a little impractible for this job.

also windscreen sealant, i assume this is okay to use silicon on them, or is there special stuff for that too.
