rewiring a TA22 Tue, 23 November 2004 00:48 Go to previous message
hey guys
i have a TA22 that needs wiring. the shell came with no wiring and then engine and g'box (2T-G and T50) came from another car that i pulled the wiring out of. i also have put a fuel pump in (mounted under the car, kinda behind the drivers side rear seat) and a thermo fan.
Questions are:
1. am i crazy to want to rewire everything from scratch using a new fuse block, relays and wires (but using the old connectors and grommets)
2. where should i get the parts to do this? (ie. where do i find 10-15 different coloured 10-30amp wire? should i get an aftermarket fuse block, make my own or get one off a different car from the wreckers? and if i muck up any of the original connectors, where can i get them?)
3. has anyone done this themselves and how much did it cost?
4. how much would an auto sparky charge to totally rewire everything and does anyone know of a good one in Sydney, near maroubra?
5. have i missed anything i really should be thinking about?
thanks in advance for any help
david...
