3T-GTE timing chain question Sun, 28 November 2004 23:02
Hi all, well now the AE86 4AGE conversion is finished its back to the 3TGTE.

I've started assembling it and if my memory is correct (hmm highly unlikely).. The timing chain has a certain direction that it has to go on, dependant on the joint/link in the chain.

Can anyone refresh me to what way it goes. Like does the open end of the link point clock wise/direction engine spinning, or is it the closed end?

Or is my memory bung and it doesn't matter?

Thanks
Joel
