Low & High beam? Sat, 12 October 2002 03:39 Go to previous message
Hi all...

Is there any reason why in a dual filament headlight globe, that the low *and* high beam filaments cant be turned on together?

On nearly every car ive seen, when you flick from low beam to high beam, the low beam turns off and the high beam turns on.

Im just wondering if they do this to stop the globes from overheating from both filaments being turned on.

Thanks.
