Anyone encountered ZIEBART rust protection?	Sat, 25 December 2004 01:07

Im preparing to paint a MX23 and im finding im getting quite annoyed. at first i thought the previous owner had a power steering line blow at some stage and the front end was totally covered in a gunky oily coating. I spent a day cleaning all of the associated bits that will be needing a painjob seperate to the body. now im prepping the front gaurds and noticed this gunky oily coating is fucking EVERYWHERE and i can only put it down to the aftermarket rust protection. so picture everywhere except for the visible paint on the body being covered in dry sump oil from a diesel truck thats been across the nullabore 100 times. at the moment im working with "white spirits" to get it off but is there anything stronger that i can use that will still allow the undercoat and paint to stick to it? FINAL NOTE: ZIEBART IS TEH DEBBLE!! [Report message to a moderator]
