Any dramas with fitting 1jz gte into MS65 crown? Sat, 08 January 2005 11:02 Go to previous message
I am able to get an automatic 1972 ms65 crown for next to nothing (most likely around $100, as it is unregoed and needs a few minor suspension fixes and a window regulator).

I was wondering if anyone has done a 1jzgte conversion into this car and found any major difficulties such as turbos fouling on the steering box.

I am planning on getting an auto half cut as it is a bit cheaper but I have read in other threads that due to having an ECU controlling the box, things like not having the abs or traction control fitted causes the gearbox to make *unopportune* shifts. Is this easy to remedy or is it not a problem with the 1jz? (as the car having problems was a 1UZ conversion).

If anyone knows of anybody that has performed this conversion could you possibly give me their contact details? Or a link to any information on their car.
