Just trying to get some info on the above as not getting a signal from the Cam angle sensor.
Ive done some searches and found that there are two types of CAS, magnetic reluctor and hall effect. How do you know which is which? I have a AE92 4AGZE with MAP sensor.
Also i think the wiring for a magnetic one is as follows:
RED: Trigger (pickup for 24 tooth wheel)
GREEN: Home pickup (TDC #1)
YELLOW: Home pickup (TDC #4)
WHITE: Common earth for pickups
As it has two pickups does this mean it calculates on half cycles or is there a wasted spark?
Any suggestions as to how to check if the unit is ok as i do know they can fail due to the air seal? going on them.
