I'm trying to fit two solex carbs on my plain ol' 2T engine, and I'm pretty sure I need a fabricated intake manifold for it - the 2T-G manifold allegedly doesn't line up. I'm wondering what kind of cost I should be looking at for that kind of thing. I know it's possible to convert to a 2T-G, but I'm not sure which is cheaper.
I know that a 2T-G can produce more power than the OHV unit, but it's not a great deal more and I have the carbies already anyway. The standard manifold on the 2T-G is pretty short, and longer is usually better, that's why I'm looking at a fabbed one for the 2T.
Anyone got an idea how much this kind of thing will cost, (or who can do it in SA)???
