Engine hunting, any advise appreciated Tue, 22 February 2005 13:19 Go to previous message
While in the workshop, my mechanic did the idle tunning cos it sits on high about 3000rpm. I took the car back last week and engine is hunting (that is what my mechanic said)... idle constantly fluctuating between 3000 and 1500. He tried to adjust throttle body and change back to where it used to be but aparently he gave up.. nothing works, nothing he could do. He reckons oxy sensor is sending wrong info to ECU.

Any idea how to fix up the problem? He suggested to bring the car to Dyno and tune ECU (I think I have factory ECU) if they can.

I just installed Front mount cooler. Does this cause any problem?

One of my fren think temperature sensor back for the engine might cause this problem.

Cheers
