tyottsoarer Regular Location: Gold Coast Registered: June 2004	jzz30 r154 conversion under way DIFF QUESTION ADDED Wed, 23 February 2005 09:15 Hey all, So I took the plunge and have an r154 complete with soarer bellhousing and all the other goodies needed to turn my droning auto into a screaming manual on its way to me. BUT no cross member or tailshaft. Will the auto cross member be suitable or can it be modified to suite the new box? Also what can be done about the tail shaft, the yoke has been supplied but the current shaft is too short from what I've read. Any ideas on what can be used as a replacement or how much a custom jobbie would run? And finally a clutch. The one I'm being supplied with is from the 1/2 cut and I'm guessing would have done 120 000kms as that is the half cuts kms. So I don't want to slap that one in to have it slip like a fat woman in high heels on a wet wooden floor a couple of months down the track. Any suggestions on selection for about 230-270 rwkw applications? I dont want a button clutch,the box is too rare for that sort of daily punishment Thanks in advance.
