Heater Fan Speeds Tue, 03 May 2005 06:59
ok i have done the research on the internet about the fan speed resistor located next to the blower failing. Mine is dead. I am under the impression that i can solder on normal wire wound resistors in the place of the old coils. I am just wondering if this is correct and what resistors do i want.

1R0ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor
2R2ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor
3R3ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor
3R9ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor
4R7ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor
5R8ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor
6R8ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor
8R2ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor
10ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor
12ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor
up to 820ohm 10 Watt Wire Wound Resistor

they are my options which ones are suitable for what speeds?
are they going to melt with the heat they produce?
