thu187 Forums Junkie Location: Sydney Registered: September 2004	What's doing with your PC Fri, 03 June 2005 15:54 I recently had a problem with my CTRL+ALT+DEL not working and thought I got some pesky virus crap. Turns out my left ctrl button is stuffed lol. Anyhow, I stumbled upon TWO REALLY GOOD PROGRAMS. Firstly, Autoruns. Don't you hate it when you disable programs from loading at startup but they somehow find a way to keep loading? Not anymore my friends. It's really good. Shows you a list of all the programs set to load @ startup and has a checkbox next to them. Simply check the ones you want to remain and uncheck the ones you want to stop. You can also right click and google the names to find out what they do. Use matches that come from liuitilies.com Secondly, a really good virus scanner that for some reason can detect a whole lot of shit that other scanners can't. Known as AntiVir® PersonalEdition Classic, it is able to detect partial traces of virus', trojans, worms etc. The executable is also cleverly named LukeFilewalker I recommend you all go and grab them.
