menace Regular Location: Sydney Registered: June 2005	Bought my first Toyota Fri, 15 July 2005 22:20 Hey Guys, Just bought my first Toyota. I bought a 91 Toyota Cressida glx. Yep i know it's got a 7M-GE. What should i be looking out for on these cars? What is the chassis code for it? There is some noise in the head like a knocking sound. Don't think its a bearing. Got a mechanic out to come and see it. He said the head gasket is fine (Common Thing?). Its got 175,000 Km. You can feel the knocking through the inlet manifold. Has anyone experienced the same thing? He put the engine under load and the knocking noise goes... Otherwise the car is pretty immac. I will take photos of it soon. [Report message to a moderator]
